> Top Tips to Building Your Online Brand and Competitive Edge

> once the list of recruiters is available in early Nov, it's CRITICAL that you RESEARCH the agencies
and PREPARE for interviews

(Professor Appelbaum will share list soon)

> you MUST be on point w/ recruiters ... your actions reflect on the CCNY Ad/PR brand

> invited:  a healthy mix of PR, digital marketing + ad agencies

>  it's unacceptable to ask recruiters generic questions about their organizations that you can research beforehand

> you should be--

1) knowledgeable about agencies present and how you can help meet their needs
2) aware of when internships are offered (spring, summer, fall, winter)
3) mindful of agency specialty areas (corporate, sports, entertainment, health, lifestyle, food)

> develop a succinct 30 sec. elevator pitch (highlight skills you bring to the table)

> understand you have 5 mins. on average to speak w/ recruiters
* career fair monitors will ask you to move on when your time is up

> please share these tips with your classmates and practice how you plan to sell yourself *
> we stress that it's IMPORTANT for everyone to make a good showing with the industry reps

Reminder:  Secure your spot RIGHT NOW and RSVP (required)!
